week 7, 8 ,9 & 10

I used the technorati site and didn't particularly like using this site.I particularly like using flickr as I prefer images.I think "slamming the boards" answer boards would be great for libraries as clients get to ask librarians their questions and get answers back from qualified librarians.Customers may offer their suggestions on our services, hours open and collection material and purchase suggestions.Pod casting sounds great as any one can make it and you can subscribe to your favourite shows and download to a mp3 player and listen where you want to,where you want to. The great things is you are not restricted to listening at home in front of the computer. Although I have not used podcasting it sounds great.I liked huge big labs, having different ways of showing images and creating designs-I'm sure these tools would get used in the library as well.

Wikis

What did you find interesting?

That it can be used as an alternative to email really interests me as i only ever use email.

What types of applications within libraries might work well with a wiki?

On an administrative basis as a regional library headquarters i can see potential for this tool to be used to co-ordinate with other branches to organise things like author visits of agenda's for regional training days etc.
